Do I Need Experience To Get An Oil Job In North Dakota?

I'm often asked by people if they need experience to get an oil job in North Dakota. In the past not at all. It is true more people have moved out to North Dakota so it has gotten a bit more competitive, however there are still jobs to be had with no experience.

Everyone working on rigs today at some point started out with no experience. Everyone has to start out somewhere right.

Sure some people have taken training courses at the local community college or gone to some other type of program or schooling to learn about the rigs but everyone for the most part even with schooling started out as a worm their first day.

There's such a demand for workers and such a short supply of skilled workers oil drilling companies need to hire some people with no experience.

It's not just North Dakota that oil rig jobs are available. There are over 13 states drilling for oil and gas. There's many jobs available and you can probably find one without experience.

Due to new drilling technologies that allow drilling companies to tap gas and oil resources in places thy couldn't before the demand for workers is only going to increase.

Don't let your concerns about lacking experience keep you from landing a high paying job in the rapidly expanding oil industry. If you have some disposable income and move out to North Dakota prior to finding a jbo there are courses at the local community college that can teach you skills you'll need and make it easier to land a job.
