There are a ton of jobs that have been created in the oil fields of North Dakota. These jobs can provide financial relief in a tough economy to thousands of unemployed Americans who lost their jobs over the past few years in this economic turmoil we have been facing.
There are many job opportunities available in the Bakken Oil fields...yes even for those with little to no relevant job experience. Why? Well probably because most of these jobs are very unique and nothing can really be used as prior training to prepare you for them without doing the actual job. Employers often look favorably however on those who have worked jobs like construction, landscaping, etc. Someone whos has a proven track record of working hard in tough jobs. Ex military are also looked very favorably upon by employers in the area.
The oil fields of North dakota include jobs for linemen, riggers, plumbers, and fitters. Many of these jobs are offering paid traning for individuals hwo have no prior experience working in oil fields or on oil rigs. These jobs oftentiems pay much higher than othr oil rig jobs. One can sometimes earn as much as 120k or more doing these jobs listed above.
At one time there were probably like 3 oil rig jobs available for every local person in Western North Dakota. The job opportuniteis are still here, however with more new people flooding into town everyday that has brought wages down a bit and made the prospect of getting a job a bit tougher.
Though this boom could go on for the next 100 years or end next week, many oil industry experts suggest that this is potentially the largest oil boom America has seen in the last 5 decades if not longer. This North Dakota oil boom is great news for those who have been looking for good paying jobs for a while now in this down economy.
